It’s on to another trendy post for 2015. The Huffington Post said brides are going “Gaga for Greenery”. We love green at Sweet Meadows and are surrounded by 160 acres of gorgeous green scenery. Let’s take a minute and talk about how this look is easy to achieve, budget friendly, eco friendly and is lovely at our venue. This can be easy for the DIY brides. Think about choosing a venue surrounded by beautiful gardens and greenery to awe your guests upon arrival. Potted plants such as maiden hair ferns, boxwoods or succulents can be incorporated into your centerpieces, ceremony decor and even to add a sweet touch to your wedding cake. These plants are readily available at your local nursery and can help a little with the wedding budget. Lastly, greenery is eco-friendly! Take those potted plants, trees, and succulents home and enjoy them for many more years. Think outside the box and use magnolia leaves from your grandmother’s home, herbs mixed into your wedding decor, or if you want to get a little crazy like we did here add a leaf or two to your shoes! Greenery is a trend we hope our Sweet Meadow brides fully embrace for 2015.
2015 Wedding Trends: Beautiful Blooms
We are back with more wedding trends according to The Huffington Post. Today we are talking about beautiful blooms for centerpieces, bridal bouquets and overall wedding decor. As we mentioned before we love brides to flaunt their own style and really what flower isn’t beautiful? There are several favorite flowers for the 2015 wedding season. The English Garden rose has a distinct swirl and adds a new spin to the ever classic traditional rose. Peonies continue to awe both brides and their guests with their delicate petals and add beautiful texture to bouquets. Crepe-paper thin petals adorn the Ranunculus giving them a whimsical, almost crafted look. The Hydrangea has large full blooms that can stand alone or add a fullness to any centerpiece. For brides looking for modern lines or a show stopper one of the many varieties of the Dahlia may be a favorite. We are sharing images of how these trendy flowers have popped up in designs at Sweet Meadow Farm and in some of our favorite wedding looks. Hope you enjoy.
