“In the midst of the complexities of modern life, with all its pressures, the spirit of man needs to refresh itself by communion with unspoiled nature.” Laurance S. Rockefeller knew just what couples at Sweet Meadow would find. With rolling hills, water and unspoiled views in every direction Sweet Meadow provided an escape from big city life and the perfect setting for a Farm To Table Affair. We want you to meet the dream team for this one. Carey and Seila had a simple mission when planning. Keep it local, embrace the “Slow Wedding” vibe and hiring vendors who shared the same vision. The artisans involved are all proud to show off and provided a brilliant service showing their crafts.
Meet Wildcraft Flowers: Carroll and Richard of Sharpsburg, GA, share a passion for botany, and love of holistic agriculture that led them on the journey to starting their farm-florist operation. The farm, a piece of land that made it’s way back into the family after decades uses holistic practices to grow all of their flowers. Wildcraft supports local flower farmers and never imports. The designs are wild and loose just the way nature intended.
Meet Lat. 33: “Real food, real farmers, real community.” Owned by the local CSA, Lat. 33 offers freshly prepared dishes featuring seasonal, locally sourced, and organic ingredients, and make almost everything from scratch.
Meet Bernie Wong, Baker: When Bernie bakes a cake, he means business. He’s a believer in supporting local farmers, design and the attention to detail. This Rustic cake was Martha Stewart’s yellow cake recipe from Weddings book and Swiss meringue buttercream, Made with local eggs from Full Life Farm. Lemon zest was added to the cake and the layers brushed with lemon-elderflower syrup, vanilla beans were added to the buttercream, and layers filled with blackberry coulis by Jason from Farmers Fresh CSA. Not only is it the best cake we have tasted, Bernie stays and serves the cake.
Meet 4AM Coffee Roasters: Coffee roasters and tea blenders that support sustainable agricultural practices. The Slow Pour Cafe partners with Farmers Fresh CSA to bring top quality locally produced groceries, meals, tea, and coffee products to the Carrollton, Georgia area.
