A Lesson On Shoe Safety:
We see many types of shoes attending our Sweet Meadow Weddings. Many of these shoes make for an uncomfortable night or a hurt ankle, and can oftentimes be unflattering to less coordinated guests. You know who you are! (Ourselves included!) Below you will find a selection of Do’s and Don’ts. Heels that fit our turf here at Sweet Meadow, and heels that may leave you… barefoot and blistered.
Let’s be honest. Heels are tricky. With certain dresses, we need the extra height or a specific look. Other times, well, we simply want to wear our favorite heels. In that case, consider the following simple solutions. If you are the bride, consider making note of this for your bridesmaids and guests!
1. This is what WILL happen, without precaution #2. or #3.
2. We think this is a brilliant idea for outdoor weddings with a high-class, high-heel feel. If you want your ladies to wear the shoe, give them the extra support! (Please, do also consider their trek to ceremony sites and reception dancing).
3. This could be the win-win. Many bridal boutiques carry “SoleMates,” a small plastic cover that fits various heel sizes so that you may wear the shoe of your wedding dreams in any condition. (see chart below)
Warm Wishes,
Sweet Meadow
